Nokia fun

Another day, another "this is cool" thing. I've got a data cable for my Nokia 3310, and when this gets retired - or if I get hold of another one that's being got rid of - I want to hook it up to my Linux server and use it as an email conduit. Why? Cos I'm a geeky bastard, and it's super cool =) Also, both myself and The Lovely Jayne are on Virgin Mobile, so texts are cheap cheap cheap.

And I could blog from the field =)

And I could get other people to pay to use it =)

And so on. Anyway, the software's about for Windows if I'm willing to pay for it (both in financial terms, and for using Windows), but I hadn't found a Linux equivalent. UNTIL NOW!

The Lovely Jayne will despair of me, she really will...

Ultimate eBay user

I've just stumbled (whilst looking at 1950s TV sets, believe it or not) across the most wonderful eBay user. He/She/It sells nothing at all... it's the eBay test operators! There's an auction there that's 8000 days long, and it due to finish on 24th February 2025... super-cool =)

Continuing Development

My Blog development continues. I've had a little play with the template (which is a Blogger standard, as you probably know if you've looked at many), and have started messing around with the design - changing colours and things. I'd do a new one from scratch but I'd get in a CSS pickle - plus I'm terribly lazy (and that's why I'm a Blogger user, and not coding my own in PHP).

Sorry this is another dull post. =)

Manga girl PC

Sometimes you find things that are SO wrong that they're disturbing. I'm all for building PCs in odd things - I'm planning getting one into a 1950s TV set after all - and the odd bit of customisation, but building a large Manga-style girl (in uniform, as is tradition) to hold your PC goes off the wrongness meter. As you shall see.
